This Is My Fine Art

We've had a death in the family. I didn't know the man myself, but apparently he helped raise my mother so she's been quite out of it and depressed. I won't be going to the Funeral because I'll be with Patrick and his family. They are having the wake tomorrow... on Thanksgiving. Keep my mother and the rest of my family that's hurting up in your prayers.

I think my room almost got set on fire last night. It's a creepy feeling, and I felt very unsettled for the remainder of the night. The light bulb in the lamp next to the bed started flickering really bad while I was sketching. I watched it, waiting for it to die, but something told me to remove the lamp shade. When I moved it I noticed flames.... yes, flames inside of my light bulb. They kept growing too, so I shut off the lamp immediately. Then the bedroom was filled with a nasty smoke smell. Talk about a close call. I took the bulb out of the socket just to make sure I'd be safe. I knew the bulb was getting old, but that was a little crazy. It was extremely hot to the touch. But, we're alright and the bulb is disposed of.

I've packed my bags and set up some Daily Deviation awards on Deviant Art in advance for while I'm gone. Me and Lan will both be off, I hope the Manga/Anime gallery stays under control. I know they seem to love turning in miscats, lol. Oh well, I should feel safe knowing we have a good team of people who are going to help out.

All I have left to do now is get a shower, get dressed, pick up around the house a little, and head out the door. So, you probably won't hear anything else out of me until maybe Friday evening. So, be safe everyone and I hope you all have a good Thanksgiving!
