First off, I would like to say Happy Birthday to
dawnnamira~ <33
Secondly, thank you to everyone who responded to my last post. I feel much better about the situation now.
All that aside, my mind was churning mostly about the things I read in the devotional yesterday. I wanted to know more because I'm a curious nut. Well, I decided I would speak with my father. Most of you already know that he's a preacher. Though he and I have butted heads many times, I still value his input. So I showed him the Bible and what I had been reading and asked his opinion on it. He pulls out this old bible that's falling apart called the Dake's Bible. I don't remember which translation it is, but this man by the name of Dake basically has his notes written alongside all of the scriptures. He pulls things from other scriptures in other parts of the Bible and created this elaborate vision of what he has seen. Dad says he doesn't believe everything he reads from the guy, but the man does have some good points and interesting thoughts to ponder.
He went all into the fall of Satan and those angels and it was like reading a hardcore fantasy novel. XD I kept thinking, "This would make a neat movie." I swear, it's up to the individual to believe what he wrote or not and I do believe parts of it, but it was fascinating.
Basically he was saying that God created the Earth long before Adam. The angels were his first creation and Lucifer was put in charge of Earth. Lucifer wanted to be God and became corrupted. Because of Lucifer's decisions the first world fell. He says, Lucifer's kingdom became a waste and that God saw the evil of Lucifer and Lucifer's desire to become God and wiped out the world with a flood. This flood he mentions is before Noah's flood and before Adam.
Oddly enough that would clear up that one scripture that always made me scratch my head. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. This is the second verse of Genesis chapter one. This really pulls me into the Gap Theory once again. There seems to have been a gap of time between the first verse and the second verse and during this time was when Satan and his angels fell and God felt a need to first restore the world. The he recreated the world. He probably left the waters on the Earth for a very long time if he had to recreate everything.
Interestingly enough, the angels are now in Heaven with God while the evil ones roam the Earth with Lucifer. After the book of Revelation which is still just a prophecy, the world will be destroyed with fire and we'll go into the Millennial Reign. I could be wrong, but I've gotten the impression that God created the universe for us to help him govern and that right now we are his only living creation on a planet, but that when the Millennial Reign starts he'll make more worlds and assign us to them (I've gone loopey). At least that was what Dake was saying and he kept using scripture to back it. I don't have the Bible with me right now. I'd suggest looking it up for yourself if you're interested.
Dad says I shouldn't think about it too hard, because people who have tried to explain and completely understand the Bible have a history of going insane. XD
This takes me back to the you can't put God in your box statement I made yesterday.
I really want to know what God has planned for us. I know it's something big, and it excites me. I guess I ultimately just have to wait and see. I know it will be better than anything that I can imagine.
Lastly, I sketched up Gin the other day and I finally scanned him in. If you want to see the picture it's under the following cut.
