I do not believe in forcing my beliefs down anyone's throat. I feel a desire to post these scriptures and my thoughts on what I've read from the devotionals, but I'm putting it under cut for those that are not interested. If you do want to read, you can click on the cuts to unhide what is written. If not, you can go on with your life.
If you would like to comment, note that if you attack me I will probably not respond to you because I do not like to argue. If you would like to talk like a civilized individual, then we can talk. What is written is simply my opinion. If your opinion differs from mine, feel free to share, but don't be dogmatic and rude about it because that turns me away from what could be a good point.
I'm not shoving my opinion and forcing it down your throat. Please, respect me and don't force yours down mine.
Psalm Chapter 19
MY THOUGHTS
Todays devotional was about the different ways that God has revealed himself to us. The first way it talks about is through his creation in a more general revelation. This is illustrated in the first verse of Psalm 19. It goes on to say that, "What humankind discovers empirically through scientific observation is never at odds with divine revelation since God created what science can only discover and use."
Second is a special revelation. This is the Bible where God has revealed to us his plan for the universe through prophets and apostles. Verses 7-11 of Psalm 19 refer to this revelation.
Thirdly, God reveals himself to us through divine revelation in his son Jesus Christ. Jesus proclaimed, "Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father" John 14:9
Hmm, let me stop. I'm sorry, my mind just isn't kicking in gear with this. Basically the devotional is covering the numerous verses that God reveals himself and how he is the one who ultimately set everything in motion. I could go much deeper into this, but it just speaks for itself for me. And I don't really have anything to add to it.
It's also really hot in this house and making it extremely hard for me to concentrate.
MEMORY VERSE:
Colossians 1:16
For by him all things were created; things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him.
The Bible I am using is called "Freedom in Christ" and is the New International Version of the Bible. The devotional I read today, and from which I got the excerpts, is on page 603.

O.o or is it that everyone is reading too much into everything?
